Anita Morena

Anita Morena is a visual artist who descends from Wiradjuri Ngurambang ancestry. She currently resides in South East Queensland ( Gubbi Gubbi / Kabi Kabi country) with 3 of her children. She has also had the privilege of living in Aotearoa (New Zealand) where her 3 eldest children and grandchildren still live.

Throughout her life Anita has used creativity as an expressive outlet and in the last several years has begun connecting back to her Indigenous roots using her artwork as a means to heal and share her stories and connections through nature and the use of colours which bring a contemporary approach to her art practise. She continues to learn about what it means to represent culture in an authentic way which resonates with her past, present and future artistic ventures. 

Anita has a number of her artworks placed in homes and businesses within Australia and worldwide.
